Sunday Morning Rescue Report

20 degrees outside. So chilly!

Happy Sunday, everyone. My name is Jen, and I’m the founder of Always & Furever. Every Sunday, I like to take a moment to share who we are, what we do, and how we believe shelters should be—filled with love, joy, and freedom.

The dogs here are one big, wonderful pack. Each one comes from a different past, nearly all from kill shelters.

  • Marlene was abandoned by her owner to be euthanized simply because she didn’t get along with a Yorkie.
  • Butch lost his family just two weeks ago, left with no one to care for him.
  • Some are old, some are young, some have skin issues—but together, they are perfectly imperfect.

And we are so grateful that God placed them in our care to love and trust them. ❤️

People say shelters don’t have enough—enough resources, enough time, enough workers, enough space. But the truth is, change is possible if you believe in it.

Six and a half years ago, we were told this couldn’t be done. Yet here we are, with over 6,000 lives saved—even though our max capacity is just 19 dogs at a time. That, in itself, is a miracle.

Miracles happen every day. You just have to open your heart to them.

Sally May, our beautiful girl, is still waiting for a foster.
Wallace and Mattis found their forever homes yesterday.
More cats, kittens, and puppies are on their way into our care.

And all of this—all of this—is possible because of **you.**

Their joy is my joy, and I hope it’s yours too.

Choose to foster or adopt today. You are the reason these dogs know love. ❤️
