Day 4 with Mikhal:
SOMEbody has discovered the joy of the “people” bed. ️
Mik came to get me at 7am to chase squirrels and get breakfast. I woke up to lots of licks and tail wags.
After getting a nice full tummy, he played with his stuffie, and Bruce (The Dawg Knight, Bruce Wayne) looked at me like, “It’s the weekend…are we going back to snooze?”
He followed Bruce and watched him jump up on to his side of the bed (his sleep number is 55). Mik followed suit and came up. But being 80+ lbs of pure puppy, he chose to make a game of face licks, ponytail tugs, steamrolling his mama, and wrestling Bruce…while standing on said mama.
He finally settled down after about 15 minutes, found a comfy spot, and went to sleep…with me sandwiched tightly between him and his brother. Mik’s sleep number is 45, by the way…lol.
He has settled in beautifully. He is very gentle with his 14-year-old fur-sister Bridgette. I think he and our daughter Katy might be dating the way they look at each other with googly eyes.
He gets very excited when his Dad comes home from work, and he is my constant companion as I work in my home office. ️ He loves his walks around the lake paths and barking from his perch on the back deck overlooking his big backyard (until the squirrels return…then the chase is on). ️
Now if I can just convince him that coffee is for sleep-deprived Moms and not for silly boys… ☕
