Mikhal Surgery Update

Today, we stand in awe of the strength and will to fight displayed by our sweet Mikhal. His journey through surgery has been nothing short of miraculous, and yet every moment remains a critical step toward his recovery.

When our surgeons opened him up, they found his small body burdened with trash—plastic, pieces of potato, and more. Yet, against all odds, there was hope: none of his intestines were necrotic, and no sections needed to be removed. The surgeons worked tirelessly, clearing the obstruction and giving Mikhal a chance to continue his fight.

The surgery is now complete. Mikhal has been moved to the ICU, and we are holding our collective breath as he faces the next hurdles. He’s been extubated—a significant milestone—but the next steps are delicate. He must avoid leaking from his surgical sites, stave off any sepsis, and tolerate his first feedings through a feeding tube without regurgitation or aspiration. Every second counts, every prayer matters.

Mikhal’s spirit shines as brightly as ever. He’s fighting. He’s not giving up. And neither will we. This is a time for faith, for community, for unwavering support. As the next two weeks unfold, we ask you to keep praying, to keep believing.

Please join us in lifting Mikhal up and surrounding him with love. He is still here with us, holding on, and with your support, we know he can overcome this. Let’s show Mikhal the power of hope and the strength of a united #TeamMikhal.
