Today, we welcome two new souls to our Little Red Barn—each with a story, each with a heart ready to heal.
- Itchy, a sweet senior who had been overlooked for far too long. He needed a place to call home, and now, he has one.
- Bull Grizzly found his way back to us last night. Sometimes, the journey isn’t a straight path, but what matters is that he’s safe, loved, and exactly where he needs to be. ❤️
Bull does have some knee issues, so we’ll be getting him into the vet right away. In the meantime, he’s taking it easy while he figures out his new pack.
Every dog here comes from a different background—some were abandoned, some were surrendered, some were never given a chance. But we don’t see age, breed, or medical needs. We don’t hold on to the past. We leave the pain behind and start fresh.
Of course, with so many personalities in one place, there’s always a little adjusting. The energy shifts, bonds form, and the pack finds its rhythm. And through it all, one thing stays the same—joy, kindness, and love.
Oh, and let’s not forget our breakfast howlers—they are very, very impatient this morning!

Now, some might ask—why such a big fundraiser?
Because it’s for a very, very big dream. A dream to renovate our new property in Kansas City, Missouri, and turn it into the shelter of all shelters—a place where:
- Every dog has a private suite filled with peace and love.
- Cats have condos and lounges to relax and thrive.
- We build a brand-new vet center, St. Francis, inspired by St. Jude’s, to help our community members through a donation-based referral system. ❤️
Together, we truly can change the world. But it starts with us. It starts within. And it starts with believing that anything is possible—when you have the courage to try. ✨
