Abandoned and left to die, tiny Wrapper was found with his siblings on the side of the road, struggling to survive. While his brothers and sisters are now safe, Wrapper is facing a battle that none of us could ever prepare for.
Wrapper has a Grade 6 heart murmur caused by Pulmonic Stenosis—a condition that narrows the valve between his heart and lungs. Without immediate surgery, his heart will continue to deteriorate, and the progression will lead to right-sided heart failure, arrhythmias, and further dilation of his heart. Every day without the surgery puts this precious little life at greater risk.
The only thing that can save him is a Balloon Valvuloplasty at MU, where a balloon will be placed to widen his heart valve and relieve the pressure. The total cost, including all his medical appointments, is about $8,000. It’s a steep cost, but without this procedure, Wrapper won’t have a future.
Right now, Wrapper is with a loving, wonderful foster family, who is giving him all the care and attention he deserves. Our goal is to give Wrapper the chance to keep feeling the love, joy, and safety that life has to offer. We want him to know a world filled with kindness, not pain, and to grow up surrounded by the warmth of a family.
