Dogs truly are a reflection of God’s love

Update 8-30 1:50 PM

They say the eyes are a window to the soul. Watch about 20 seconds into this video, and you’ll see Mikhal look up as the vet tech mentions going “home” to another dog. I don’t know what he’s endured in the past. Only God knows what his future holds. But what I do know is that every moment of his present, every single person who meets him, feels his love, and he knows love.

This is a dog that someone else abused, threw away, and starved. And two different organizations not only looked past him but left him to suffer for three days in a kill shelter. This is a soul that has suffered beyond what any of us can imagine, and yet he looks up at us with soft, gentle eyes of gratitude.

Dogs truly are a reflection of God’s love:

  • Love with no expectations.
  • Love with no judgment.
  • Love with forgiveness.
  • Love with hope.
  • Love with faith that no matter what happened in the past, God’s grace gives us the beautiful ability to live in this moment.

In today.
In the present where, despite all the pain he’s endured, all he acknowledges is love.

Mikhal is resilient. He’s a fighter. And every single moment, he reminds us never to give up, never to lose hope.

We know everything could change in a moment, but we celebrate and are grateful for every single moment. He is worth it. Thank you all for your support, prayers, and donations. All God’s animals are worth it.
