UPDATE 931 AM 9-8
Just got an update from Dr. Millard about our brave Mikhal! His abdominal drain and catheter have been removed, and he’s now walking and eating more on his own. Although we’re still using the feeding tube a bit, he’s making progress. His poops are more formed, and he doesn’t have a fever—great news!
Regarding his foot, he has unfortunately lost part (digits) of one toe and more on a few others. There’s a chance he might lose another part, but we’re staying hopeful and focusing on his recovery. He’s a true warrior, and we’re giving him all the love and care he needs.
After 13 days in the ICU major intensive surgery, he will go home with our medical coordinator Julie under her watchful and loving care tomorrow. Please keep the prayers coming. He really is our miracle.
