Monday Morning Update: Oscar’s Fight for His Leg 🥒❤️
We have some incredible news to share about our little fighter, Oscar! He made his way to our trusted vet again this morning, and although it was a tough day—he had to be sedated, his bandages were changed, and X-rays were taken—there’s reason to be hopeful! 🐾💪
The amazing news is that the vets believe they can save his leg! 🙌 This is such a blessing because losing a front leg is especially difficult for dogs. They carry most of their weight on their front limbs, making front amputations even more challenging. But with this hope comes a lot of work ahead.
To give Oscar the best chance at recovery, we need to be incredibly diligent. He will require constant vet visits for bandage changes and leg checks—possibly every day or every other day—to prevent any risk of infection or setbacks. If we’re going to save this leg, we’re going to do it right, and that means we all need to rally around Oscar to make sure he’s getting the best care possible. And we know—he’s absolutely worth it. ❤️
Between our vet team, dedicated drivers, fosters, and all of you, we’re ready to fight for Oscar and his recovery. However, this journey is going to be costly. We’re looking at at least another $600 for the immediate care he needs, and that doesn’t even include the emergency costs from over the weekend. Oscar’s total medical expenses could easily climb into the thousands.
We know we ask a lot of our incredible village, but every penny counts toward giving Oscar the pain-free, happy life he deserves—running on all four paws and living his best life. He deserves that chance, and with your help, we can make it happen. 💪
Please consider donating to help cover Oscar’s ongoing care. We’ll be sure to shower him with all the love and support in the world, but right now, we need your financial support to continue his journey toward healing. Together, we can give Oscar the chance at life that he deserves. 🙏
Stay tuned for more updates, and keep those prayers and positive vibes coming! 🐾❤️
