Aleks, our incredibly talented videographer, spent time with Mikhal and his loving caretaker Julie to capture moments that tell his heartwarming story. A New Beginning: Mikhal Has Found His Furever Family!

In case you missed Sheral’s post… we are overjoyed to announce that our brave boy Mikhal has found his forever home!

After a journey marked by resilience, strength, and love, Mikhal is now part of a family that’s everything we dreamed for him.

His new mom first reached out to us with hope, imagining the perfect addition to her pack. Bruce Wayne, her “Dawg Knight,” needed a buddy who could keep up and be his “bestest little friend.”

After many visits filled with walks, toys, and endless scratches, Mikhal’s bond with his new family felt like destiny. Yesterday, the magic happened: Mikhal met his new “siblings”—the playful Bruce and sweet Bridgette—and it was love at first sight. Now, Mikhal, or “Mik Swagger”, has the loving pack he deserves.

His new family is thrilled, and we couldn’t be happier. This is why we do what we do—giving dogs like Mikhal a chance to heal and thrive in a family that adores them.

Myla Rose still needs your prayers. Yesterday, she was unable to urinate, so we brought her back to the emergency vet. Thankfully, she was able to relieve herself, but she’s not progressing as we hoped. Please, please, please pray for our girl. We’re waiting on results to see if we should or even could increase her steroids. We promise we won’t let her suffer, but we’re never giving up without exhausting every resource for this young, beautifully sweet soul.

We still have $1,000 to raise for her medical expenses, now over $10,000.

I wanted to bring you into one of my most cherished moments with Mikhal, one that’s filled with peace and love. While working on some painting around the garage today, I set up a cozy spot for him nearby, thinking he’d just rest quietly while I worked. But as usual, Mikhal had other plans.

With paint on my hands and half-finished walls around me, I found myself drawn to him as he settled in, looking so comfortable and at ease. I couldn’t help but put down my brush, sit by his side, and soak in this simple, precious moment that has become our little nightly ritual. ️

There’s something indescribably beautiful about these quiet moments together—when I just sit with him, gently petting his head, feeling the calm wash over us both. This time is ours, a slice of peace in the day that makes everything else fade into the background. Just being there with him, watching him relax, feeling his trust—it’s my absolute favorite part of our time together.

And honestly, how could anyone resist that sweet face? Those big, soulful eyes, the way he seems to know he’s so deeply loved. I could sit here forever, feeling lucky just to share this little space of quiet and comfort with him. ❤️

Sometimes, it’s the smallest, simplest things that mean the most. Thank you for letting me share this moment with you all. These are the memories that stay in your heart forever.

Today, we have a heartfelt update to share about our beloved Myla Rose. Thanks to the dedication and expertise of an experienced foster, Myla Rose is able to leave the hospital and begin her journey to recovery in a home environment, surrounded by love and comfort.

Our foster hero will be using a Help ’Em Up® Full-body Dog Lift Harness to carefully support Myla Rose as she ventures outside for short, gentle outings. This harness will be essential in giving Myla Rose the extra help she needs to move around comfortably and regain some of her strength. Each step she takes, no matter how small, is a victory.

The road ahead is still uncertain, and we need all the prayers and positive energy we can get for Myla Rose. Our foster will monitor her closely, watching for any signs that Myla Rose is able to void her bladder on her own. If she cannot, a re-admission to the hospital may be necessary, but we are holding onto hope that her body will continue to fight and heal.

The next steps are crucial. We’re waiting to see if the steroids will bring any noticeable improvement, and we are eagerly awaiting the results of the spinal tap. Myla Rose’s spirit is resilient, and with your love, support, and prayers, we believe she can pull through this challenge.

️ Update November 2nd, 11:33 AM ️

We went to Mission Emergency Room to see her. I think anybody who knows when you walk into an emergency room, your heart sinks. Your heart sinks for the animals that are there, for the people that are there, and mostly for the people that leave without their animals with them. That isn’t the case for Myla Rose, at least not yet.

She’s still here. She’s still fighting. As we walked up to her, she wagged her tail. Her loving, sweet eyes looked up, and she knew a friendly, familiar soul and could feel love. After all, all this sweet girl is, is love. Maybe that’s just what we feel.

Her condition hasn’t improved as we hoped, but there’s still hope. We are not giving up. The catheter is still in, and we are still praying the steroids will work. Another round is given today, and we are not giving up on this beautiful soul.

Please keep praying for our girl. I know she’s only been in our care three days, but she has touched all of our hearts forever. Keep fighting, little one. You have an army behind you, and no idea how much love is headed your way. Please, just keep fighting.

Our vet bill is now close to $11,000. We have raised about $6,500. Every single donation truly does make a difference. We know she has brain abnormalities. We did the MRI, and now we’re just waiting on the spinal tap results. She still can’t be on her own, but she is eating. And she’s still here, and we love her, and we’d do anything for her.

What would you do for your own dog? Think about that for a second. And if you’re anything like us, you’d do exactly this. ❤️

Prayer warriors: Right now, in these next two hours, Myla Rose needs our prayers, love, and support more than ever. She’s only six years old, and the estimate for the MRI alone, just to discover what’s going on inside her, is between $5,000 and $7,000. We know it’s a lot to ask, but if you could spend even one moment with her, feel the love and life in her soul, you’d understand why we’re willing to do whatever it takes to save her.

She was left at our doorstep just yesterday, and we love her like she’s been in our life forever. It’s excruciating to watch her suffer, trapped inside a healthy body with something in her head she can’t control. Every dog or cat who comes to us becomes part of our family, giving us the responsibility and honor to love them as if they’re our own, to care for them wholeheartedly.

I know what I’d do if this were my own dog—I’d do anything. I don’t have $7,000, but if I did, I would give it in a heartbeat. So, I’m asking, praying, that we can each give, share, pray, and believe that Myla Rose deserves a miracle.

Right now, we need your prayers, your faith, your love. More than anything, she needs you to hope—hope that there is a way, that we can help her. With the best neurologist, a team of incredible vets, and God’s hands upon her, we believe she can be healed. That is our prayer tonight.

Our sweet Myla Rose is being kept overnight under close watch by our incredible veterinary team.

Right now, they’re working to see how she responds to antibiotics, hoping they might start helping her bounce back. They’ve inserted a catheter because Myla hasn’t been able to pee on her own, and they’re looking into the possibility of either a deep inner ear infection or something more serious, like a brain tumor.

Through it all, she is being well-loved and kept as comfortable as possible. Pain management is a top priority, and the staff are there to make sure she feels loved, safe, and cherished. Our Always & Furever team members will be by her side, visiting as much as possible, staying with her, and letting her know that she’s never alone in this journey.

But we’re still in need of some kind souls who can help Myla by fostering her once she’s stable. Myla Rose is our newest Medical Miracle.

Myla Rose came to us under the hardest of circumstances. She was gently dropped off at our door, no longer able to carry her weight, her little paws faltering as she tried to stand. It’s believed she has a back injury, but the specifics are still unknown. To give her the best chance, we’ve scooped her up and are on our way to the emergency vet right now, starting with x-rays, MRIs, and tests to understand what she’s fighting against.

Sweet Myla is experiencing what’s called “knuckling,” where her paws bend under her, dragging the top side on the ground. This usually hints at a neurological or muscular issue, meaning she’s lost the control to properly place her paws. But let me tell you, her spirit? That’s something she hasn’t lost.

Even as she struggles to stay upright, even as she feels the weight of whatever is ailing her, Myla Rose wags her tail, brightens her eyes, and tries her best to greet everyone with a big heart full of hope. She believes in people, and she believes in love—and right now, she needs as much love as we can give.

While she is feeling deep pain, we’re hopeful that surgery might restore her mobility. Much will depend on how long she’s been this way, a mystery we may never solve, as she was only surrendered to us today. But if Myla Rose’s spirit and her love for life are any sign, she has every reason to believe in miracles.

Please pray for her, for the diagnosis to bring answers, and for her to feel the love surrounding her.

Guess who’s thriving at 80.3 pounds? That’s right—Mikhal has reached his goal weight, and we couldn’t be more thrilled! This is a huge milestone for him, and it’s the perfect weight to keep him strong, happy, and bounding with energy. Even with a touch of hip dysplasia, Mikhal isn’t letting anything slow him down; he’s dancing his way to recovery every day!

A Little Update on His Paw
During his checkup, Mikhal had his neuter stitches removed, and his paw—where he lost a toenail—is looking better than ever. Just a few more days of wrapping, and he’ll graduate to a cozy little bootie until his paw is fully healed. Watching him play with so much spirit, it’s hard to believe he’s been through so much!

Mikhal’s infectious joy shines through, even on a windy day chasing squirrels. We’re beyond grateful for every step of his healing journey and for the amazing support from all of you that has made it possible.

When it comes to making an entrance, nobody does it better than our beloved Mikhal! True to his unique style, he arrived at our Annual Howl-a-ween Doggie Dash fashionably late but decked out in a costume as fitting as it was fabulous—he was dressed as a gift .

After all, Mikhal’s name means “a gift from God,” and he truly lives up to that name with every wag, woof, and smile. ✨

Our journey with Mikhal has been nothing short of miraculous. To see him so vibrant, so happy, and so Mikhal made this Howl-a-ween extra special for us all.

Tonight, Mikhal decided to show off his playful side, but of course, the moment the camera came out, he turned into a little stinker and paused all the fun!

But as soon as Julie stopped recording, he was back at it—chasing his ball, prancing around, and just being his cute, goofy self.

He’s truly blossoming every day, and we’re just hanging out after dinner, enjoying some downtime as he blows off steam before bed.

Mikhal’s Milestone Moment!

Today was a big day for our sweet Mikhal! We captured an adorable moment of him chasing a ball, and while he’s still figuring out exactly what to do with it once he catches it (LOL), he’s definitely starting to embrace the fun side of life.

In the video, Mikhal eagerly ran after the ball – something he hasn’t done much of before – but once he got it, he was a bit distracted by all the new smells in the backyard and well, nature calling! He was so excited, though, trotting around with the ball still in his mouth. How sweet is that?

It’s moments like these that remind us just how far Mikhal has come. Not too long ago, running and playing felt like distant dreams for him, but today, we saw a playful side of him that filled our hearts with so much joy.

As we continue to work on getting our backyard in shape (the grass is long, and Mikhal has been busy, ahem, marking his territory! ), we couldn’t help but smile watching him enjoy himself. His journey has been a long one, but seeing him chase after the ball, tail wagging and all, makes every challenge worth it.

Tuesday Morning Update: Oscar’s Brave Recovery 🠦❤️

We have a bittersweet update to share with you all. Unfortunately, despite all efforts, Oscar’s leg was too damaged to be saved, and he underwent amputation surgery yesterday. But in true Oscar fashion, this little fighter is bouncing back already! 🙏

The great news is that Oscar is recovering well this morning. He’s eating, which is a huge victory, and he’s even taking his pain medication in the best way possible—tucked inside Vienna sausages, thanks to his amazing foster mom! 🌸❤️

Oscar’s journey has been filled with ups and downs, but his resilience shines through every step of the way. We’re sharing some photos of his recovery and hope they remind everyone of how strong and courageous he truly is.
